Summary

Field boundaries and a trackway of probable medieval to post medieval date are visible on aerial photographs in the vicinity of Crownthorpe Roman temple (NHER 54693). Some of these ditches appear to cross possible Roman date boundaries which are oriented perpendicular to a Roman road (NHER 19725) and have been recorded separately (NHER 54694).

Field boundaries and a trackway of probable medieval to post medieval date are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S5) in the vicinity of Crownthorpe Roman temple (NHER 54693, see also NHER 8897). The site is centred on TG 0894 0273 and consists of a number of linear ditches largely oriented east-west, with a possible trackway which is visible as a bank running from TG 0910 0264 to TG 0901 0236. Some of these ditches appear to cross possible Roman date boundaries which are oriented perpendicular to a Roman road (NHER 19725) and have been recorded separately (NHER 54694).
