Full Description
September 2012. Norfolk NMP.
Parallel linear ditches of uncertain date, function and archaeological significance are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S2) to the northeast of a former quarry (NHER 36337). These ditch cropmarks were previously recorded as part of NHER 18111.
Their archaeological provenance, however is very uncertain as they are only really visible on one set of photographs (S1), although there are also faint traces on (S2). Also the rectification of the photographs was very poor.
The two parallel ditch sections stretching to the north-east of north TG 0877 0340 were also not entirely convincing, and it is highly possible that these features relate to agricultural activity.
S. Tremlett (NMP), 26 September 2012.
