Summary

In 1970 nine crucibles were found together 'in a clutch' recessed in a brick wall at a depth of about 90cm from the present surface level.

1970. Found about 43m (140ft) due west from Grapes Hill and 9.15m (30ft) due south of West Pottergate (measurements from edge of pavement).
Nine crucibles found together 'in a clutch' recessed in a 23cm (9in) brick wall at about 90cm (3ft) from present surface level. Some had mouths to front and some base. The 23cm (9in) brick wall is possibly the side of 3A West Pottergate.
