Summary

The site and former grounds of Mileham Hall, an 18th century country house of 7 bays with a recessed 3 bay centre. The hall was demolished in the 20th century following a series of auctions. The grounds of the hall are probably the remnants of a much larger park.

The site and former grounds of the demolished Mileham Hall. (S1) describes an 18th century country house of 7 bays with a recessed 3 bay centre. The hall was demolished in the 20th century following a series of auctions. During the watching brief for development work within the former grounds, (see NHER 58140) it was reported that the cellars for the hall are still intact (S2).
The grounds of the hall are probably the remnants of a much larger park. (S3) refers to a 650 acre estate that incorporated a 220 acre park.
