Summary

In 1973 a copper alloy stirrup was recovered from a garden, amongst soil which had been brought from excavating at Victoria Station. It has been identified as 15th century in date.

Found in owner's garden among soil which had been brought from excavating at Victoria Station:
1 medieval copper alloy stirrup. See drawing (S1).
Identified by V&A Museum as 15th century. Like 4a from Die Stiebugel. R. Forrer Berlin 1896.
