D. Robertson (HES), 21 November 2012.

November 2012. Field visit, followed by research of selected maps and aerial photographs.
The earthworks of quarries were identified on the ground and found to extend into the southern part of compartment 4379.
The quarries seen on the ground are visible on (S1), which would have been taken between April 2009 (the date of the first site visit) and November 2012 (the date of this visit).
(S2; 1946 APs - advice awaited on creating a source record) shows the quarries extending further north, into the northern parts of compartment 4379.
The mapped extent of the site is based on this field visit, the December 2009 field observations, (S1) and (S2).
The quarries are not shown on (S3); whether this is because the post date this map or were not illustrated is not clear.
D. Robertson (HES), 21 November 2012.
