Map

April-June 2011. Watching Brief.
Monitoring of groundworks for installation of a replacement water main along Stokes Road recorded no archaeological finds or features. Only natural clay subsoil and modern road deposits were observed in the area between 13 Stokes Avenue and the rear of 23 Bridle Road. Much of the area to the southwest appears to be made ground, possibly modern backfill of a large quarry pit.
