Summary

Metal-detecting in 2011 and 2016 recovered Late Prehistoric worked flints including a Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age knife or dagger; a medieval pottery sherd; medieval and post-medieval coins; a medieval/post-medieval jetton and a number of other, Early Saxon and medieval to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include Early Saxon brooch fragments; medieval dress accessories, a mount, scabbard cover, sword or dagger pommel and lead weight; a medieval /post-medieval unidentified object and post-medieval buttons, a buckle and sword-belt fitting.
