Map

December 2012. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmarks of possible curvilinear ditches are visible on aerial photographs on land to the south of Tollgate plantation, Quidenham. Finds from the area have included prehistoric flints and multi-period pottery (NHER 29630).
The possible ditches are centred on TM 0245 9248, and are showing as strange ‘reversed cropmarks’, perhaps due to the underlying geology of the field.
There are also a number of geological cropmarks visible across this field, and this, coupled with the fact that they were only clear on photographs from one year, has meant that the features have been mapped with a hint of caution.
E. Ford (NMP), 5 December 2012.
