Full Description
December 2012. Norfolk NMP.
Earthworks of undated linear ditches, possible field boundaries and/or a trackway, are visible on aerial photographs (S1) on Hargham Heath, Quidenham.
These features are fragmentary, and only clear on one set of photographs, therefore it has been difficult to ascertain their function. It is possib;e that they relate to medieval to post medieval boundaries, and at least one possible trackway is visible from TM 0345 9234 to TM 0355 9220.
It is possible that some of the features may be natural, as there are several natural undulations visible across the area, or that they may relate to post medieval drainage of the site.
E. Ford (NMP), 5 December 2012.
