Full Description
December 2012. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmarks of undated linear ditches are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S2) on land to the north of Hargham Road, Quidenham. They may represent former post medieval drainage ditches, but it is also possible that they relate to earlier activity on the site. Fieldwalking in the vicinity has recovered prehistoric pot boilers and a single sherd of Iron Age pottery (NHER 29640, 29641).
The ditches are centred on TM 0313 9192 and, although faint and slightly ephemeral, have been mapped as they appear on more than one set of photographs.
E. Ford (NMP), 5 December 2012.
