Full Description
December 2012. Field observation and photography.
This is a tiny single-cell house with an upper storey. It was probably a stable originally as suggested by lunette on street façade. On the rear façade, facing the rear of 89 London Road, is a re-used late medieval window of three lights with traceried head and hood mould with circular carved label stops. Hollow-chamfered mullions, some with rebates and others with glazing grooves.
See (S1).
S. Heywood (HES), 10 December 2012.
2013. Historic Building Recording.
A short report was produced following a photographic survey. This was particularly concerned with the reused medieval stone window at the rear of the propertly ahead of the planned extension of the property. The report also questions the earlier interpretation as a former stable in view of lack of room.
See report (S2) for further details.
A. Yardy (HES), 10 June 2015.
This building is likely to be contemporary with Nos. 89-90 London Road, as it sits at the rear of this plot and appears to be some kind of ancillary building. Many buildings in this area were built by John Sugars from 1823 onwards.
A. Cattermole (King's Lynn UAD), 15 November 2018.
