Map

December 2012. Norfolk NMP.
Earthworks and cropmarks of probable medieval to post medieval strip fields or doles are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S6) on Swangey Fen, Attleborough.
The earthwork ditches are visible centred on TM 0146 9327 and cover an area measuring 390m by 335m, each individual field or dole measuring up to approximately 40m in width. Whilst they are not visible on historic maps of the area (S7-S8), unlike the strip fields located to the east and west, they are considered likely to be of medieval to post medieval origin.
