Full Description
October 2012. Archaeological testpitting.
A 1m x 1m archaeological testpit excavated by the Ludham Archive Group in October 2012 revealed a prehistoric flint flake and medieval and post-medieval pottery, along with an array of more modern material (S1 and list in file). The sherds were all quite abraded, suggesting a manuring scatter, which would fit with the site's being located away from the core of the village.
R. Hoggett (HES), 8 January 2013.
