May 2012.
Hidden in woodland beside the road and near to the site of a road block, a World War Two underground structure of uncertain function. A below-ground ?unroofed brick-lined chamber/passageway several metres long, turning through a right angle at one end with a small recess in one side. See digital photos.

January 2012
This feature could be a brick-lined slit trench for airfield defence. The structure also has a locker similar to those found in spigot mortar emplacements, possibly for the storage of ammunition. This structure could have also been used in the event of an air raid.
