Summary

A trial trench evaluation undertaken prior to the construction of a Youth and Community Centre identified no archaeologically significant features or deposits. The results of a watching brief at the site in 2011 were similarly negative.

The two trenches excavated revealed only evidence for a cottage that had stood on the site until 1945.
