Map

A C-shaped pond is shown at this location on the 1838 Sculthorpe Tithe Map (S1). It is likely that this relates to a medieval moated site. The moat is roughly square in plan with internal dimensions of approximately 30m by 40m. Finds of Late Saxon and medieval date have previously been recorded in the area around the moat (NHER 29821).
