Summary

This site lays within the known area of Roudham deserted medieval village (NHER 1057). Systematic fieldwalking between 1976 and 1978 recovered a moderate quantity of 13th century unglazed pottery and a few sherds of later date from molehills in this area, and in 1999-2000 a medieval silver coin was recovered from the surface. In 1992 an Early to Middle Iron Age bronze ring-headed pin was recovered from a molehill.

Fifteen sherds of early medieval pottery, primarily 13th century unglazed wares, and a few sherds of later pottery were recovered from molehills to the south of the moated enclosure (NHER 58773).

A medieval silver coin was recovered from the grassland between the hall (NHER 58775) and the moated site (NHER 58773).
