Summary

Final Upper Palaeolithic flint blade core found in Lynford Quarry in 2003. This find was probably associated with a known Upper Palaeolithic site to the west (NHER 21499).

Found in the quarry west of "the mammoth site" and "3 feet from the base of the gravel face' (probably fallen from a higher level in the opinion of J. J. Wymer):
1 Late Upper Paleolithic flint blade core. Probably associated with the known Upper Palaeolithic site to the west (NHER 21499). See drawing (S1).

This find was previously recorded (in error) under both NHER 40957 and NHER 35165.
