Summary

A prehistoric pebble macehead has been recorded as being found at this site. These objects are not closely datable, having been found in both Mesolithic and later contexts. This object was previously recorded under NHER 4988.

Found by Rev. J. C. Milnes "about 300 metres west of West Hall, Mundford":
1 prehistoric quartzite pebble macehead. Recorded as "more or less round". Donated to the Cambridge University Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology (1951.361). Information from museum records. Although recorded by the CUMAA as Neolithic this implement was amongst those listed in (S1). These objects are however generally seen as not closely datable, having been found in both Mesolithic and later contexts.
