Full Description
A ring ditch is visible as a cropmark on an aerial photograph taken in 2013 (S1). This is probably the remains of a Bronze Age round barrow. Two other ring ditches are visible in close proximity, NHER 58858 approximately 100m to the south and NHER 53225 approximately 300m to the west.
A. Cattermole (HES), 10 June 2013.
November 2025. HER Enhancement: Forestry Commission Project K.
The cropmarks of the possible ring ditch may be associated with the remains a possible former post medieval extraction pit visible as a low earthwork on visualised lidar data (S2), approximately 25m to the north of this record.
J. Powell (Norfolk County Council Environment Service), 04 November 2025
