Summary

Site of hangar constructed by the American military during World War Two for use as a Sports Hall. It was used as a store and car park by Sidestrand Hall School in recent years but recorded ahead of its demolition in 2013.

Land-based survey; Area A80, Context 43:
World War Two hangar, brick and corrugated iron walls with a steel girder and corrugated iron roof. This was built by the American military for use as a Sports Hall. It is now used by Sidestrand Hall School as a car park and store.

A photographic survey of the building was carried out in 2013 ahead of demolition.
The large span structure was mostly clad in corrugated material of various ages over a metal frame.
