Summary

At some time prior to 1975 a Palaeolithic flint handaxe was found at this spot. It was reported that a Neolithic polished axehead and a number of other worked flints had also been found "in this area".

Found on ploughed surface "A few years before 1975":
1 Palaeolithic "lanceolate" flint handaxe. Donated to Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1975.467). Information from (S1).
Described by Wymer on (S2) and in (S3) as a rolled and stained pointed handaxe with a dendritic patina. Also noted in (S4) and (S5), although no additional information is given.

According to (S1) it was also reported that other flints, including a Neolithic polished axehead had also been found "in this area".
