Summary

Metal-detecting between 2013 and 2017 recovered prehistoric worked flints, including a Neolithic/Bronze Age scraper, notched implement and blade; Roman, Late Saxon, medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds; Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins; a medieval jetton; a post-medieval token and Late Saxon to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include a Late Saxon/medieval stirrup-strap mount; a Late Saxon to post-medieval spindle whorl; a medieval sword chape fragment; medieval/post-medieval copper alloy vessel fragments, a ewer handle and a weight and a post-medieval toy or miniature cauldron.
