This record details archaeologically significant material recovered during off-shore dredging within Aggregates Extraction Licence Area 328/1. These discoveries were reported to English Heritage through the Marine Aggregate Industry Protocol for Reporting Finds of Archaeological Interest. See (S1) and (S2) for further details.

March 2003. Off-shore Dredging.
Found on board the Arco Adur:
1 undatable metal single sheave snatch block. Snatch blocks were used to help move cargo on and off ships.
See Discovery Report (S3) and reporting protocol annual report (S4) for further details. This find was featured in the Autumn 2012 issue of the protocol's newsletter (S5), where it is described as being of 20th-century date.
