Summary

Although it was originally expected that additional information would be submitted regarding the exact provenance of these finds, it appears that this was never received.

Map

No mapped location recorded.

Pre August 2002. Stray Find.
Several flint objects found in Lessingham:
1 undatable prehistoric borer.
2 Mesolithic/Early Neolithic tranchet axeheads. Both short and thick. One has a lenticular section and a longitudal crest on one face and is most likely Mesolithic. The second is of similar size but more symetrical in both section and plan. See drawings (S1).
Identified by P. Robins (NCM), August 2002. See descriptions in file.

There are no details regarding the exact provenance of these objects, although a note attached to P. Robin's descriptions (found at the NCM) suggests that this information was awaited. There is, however, no evidence that any additional details were received.
P. Watkins (HES), 6 March 2014.
