Map

1977. Survey.
West gable shaped, but covered by later rear extension built over part of it. Bears a plaque 'WS 173_' said to read 1733. This is remarkably late if it refers to the gable. Yellow brick façade, six bays, two storeys, but only three dormers. Off-centred Roman Doric porch (not Greek Doric, as suggested in (S1)). Dentilled cornice. Said by (S1) to be dated 1828 at rear. To east a much larger block in same style with bay window on east, c.1850. In very good condition. Large flint and brick barns to west, with two cart porches on south. And 'WS' in clamp irons, therefore presumably also early 18th century. Barns in poor condition. Large walled garden.
Visited E. Rose (NAU) 16 March 1977.

(S2) states the barn bears the date 1810.
E.Rose (NAU) 8 June 1987.
