Full Description
Pre 1975. Stray Find.
This field is one of several in Wiveton that formed the lands of Church Farm in 1977. Prior to this date the farmer [1] had collected 38 Neolithic flaked and polished flint axeheads from these fields. Only one of these objects has a recorded provenance; a broken polished axehead that is listed in (S1) as having been found in the western part of this field. It is also noted in (S1) that another axehead was found in this field, although it does not appear to be known which one. See NHER 60094 and (S1) for further details.
