Pre 23 January 1911. Stray Find.
On 23 January 1911 H. H. Halls exhibited a flint object from Norwich at a meeting of the Prehistoric Society of East Anglia. This was described as "probably a Palaeolith", and had been found "during excavations in The Close" (S1). This was presumably found somewhere in the vicinity of Norwich Cathedral.

This discovery is listed in (S2) and noted on (S3). In (S4) Wymer does however suggests that it should probably be discounted; particularly as it is not mentioned by J. E. Sainty in the brief summary of Norwich Palaeolithic finds that he included in the report on his site at Whitlingham (S5).
