Map

April 2014. Rapid Identification Survey. HA 106.
Large area of disturbed ground, including hollows and undulations cut into the natural slope. Some of the hollows are oval and small, with others much larger and oval or linear in shape. Example measurements include 3m by 5m, 15m by 20m and at least 40m by around 50m. The maximum depth observed was 1.4m.
Some of the hollows are damp, others hold water, some are compartively dry.
Many of these features were presumably dug for the extraction of sand and gravel, above or just on a floodplain. However, some could be natural features.
