Map

Prehistoric worked flints known to have been found in the vicinity of Home Mere during the early 20th century. The exact provenance of these finds is not recorded - the mapped extent of this record represents the approximate area in which they were probably found.

Pre 1926. Stray Find.
The Norwich Castle Museum holds a prehistoric flint scraper that was found by W. G. Clarke at Home Mere (NWHCM : 1909.27.12). It is noted in (S1) that the NCM's main W. G. Clarke collection (NWHCM : 1926.32) includes a potentially Mesolithic broken flint blade from Home Mere.

Pre 1938. Stray Find.
It is also recorded in (S1) that a small number of worked flints from Home Mere are also present in a collection of finds from various sites that was donated to the NCM by J. H. Capon in 1938 (NWHCM : 1938.160). These finds are listed as 1 flake, 1 middle blade segment and 1 small scraper. It is noted that these may be Neolithic rather than Mesolithic.
