1957.
In digging for new sewer.
1. In peat at 3.3m (11 feet) from surface; brass fitting (two purse mounts) probably 16th century.
From P. Chissold.
2. In peat at 3m (10 feet) from surface, 6m (20 feet) north of Greengrass' Joinery Works; iron file, perhaps medieval.
