Summary

Metal-detecting between 2014 and 2023 recovered Roman pottery sherds; a Roman tile fragment; a medieval/post-medieval pottery spindle whorl; Roman and medieval coins; a post-medieval token and a range of other, Late Iron Age/Roman to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include a Late Iron Age/Roman brooch; Roman brooches, a copper alloy pin and lead steelyard weights; Roman/Early Saxon tweezers; a medieval buckle, casket key, leash swivel, book clasp and lead pot mend; a medieval/post-medieval copper alloy vessel fragment, copper alloy staple and lead weight and a post-medieval clapper bell and lead cloth seal.
