Summary

This weir is positioned between the old bridge and the present bridge for the A1065. It was recorded during habitat improvement works, but is thought to be modern. Part of a brick and flint wall was recorded adjacent to this weir which may indicate that an earlier structure once stood here relating to the floated water meadows (NHER 44222).

This weir was located between the old bridge and the present bridge for the A1065. This weir appears to be constructed entirely of concrete with a U-shaped bastion having been built to either side of the river. It is not known whether this weir was part of the original water meadow design (NHER 44222). Part of a brick and flint wall was recorded adjacent to this weir which may indicate that an earlier structure once stood here.
