Summary

Systematic metal-detecting in 2013 revealed a concentration of fragments of aluminium from aircraft fuselages, some of which are twisted, bent or affected by heat, probably evidence for a direct impact. Aircraft are known to have had accidents at North Creake Airfield (NHER 1966) during World War Two.
