Full Description
March 2015.
The cropmark of a possible ring ditch is visible on aerial photographs from 1974 (S1) and 1976 (S2), as well as Google Earth imagery (S3). It is possible that this is the remains of a ploughed levelled Bronze Age barrow. Photographs from 1946 (S4) seem to show a feature in this location although it is unclear whether this is a pit which was later infilled, or a standing mound.
K. Powell (HES), 11 March 2015.
