Summary

A single evaluation trench excavated here in 2002 revealed a number of features and structures of post-medieval date including walls, an oven-like brick and cobble structure and a ditch. Apart from a single sherd of medieval pottery there was no evidence for earlier activity on the site, which was in an open area glebe land, within a probable moated rectory (see NHER 19285).
