April-May 2015. Metal-detecting. [1].
Roman coin hoard of Late Iron Age and Roman coins. It comprises 5 Late Iron Age coins (1 Gallo-Belgic gold stater of the Bellovaci, 1 base gold Corieltauvian South Ferriby stater, 2 Icenian Pattern-horse type silver units and 1 copper alloy disc likely to represent the base core of a plated stater); 2 Late Iron Age coins of Roman issue (silver denarii of Titus Carisius and Augustus) and 1 Roman coin (silver denarius of Vespasian).
Information from PAS import.
See map in file.
A. Beckham (HES), 14 May 2015 and E. McDonald (HES), 1 November 2017. Amended by P. Watkins (HES), 25 November 2024.

November 2015. Metal-detecting. [2].
2 Late Iron Age coins of Roman issue (both silver denarii of the Roman Republic) and 2 Roman coins (silver denarii of Hadrian and Diva Faustina).
The earlier coins are consistent with the initial discoveries but the two later denarii are considerably later and probably extraneous to the hoard.
Information from PAS import.
A. Beckham (HES), 15 February 2016. Amended by P. Watkins (HES), 25 November 2024.

The above coins were donated to Norwich Castle Museum by all parties and therefore disclaimed as Treasure (Ref: 2015 T383).
P. Watkins (HES), 25 November 2024.
