Summary

In January 2014 a systematic fieldwalking and metal-detecting survey recovered undatable prehistoric worked flints; Roman, medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds; a medieval copper alloy stud and various post-medieval and undatable metal objects.

Field survey undertaken as part of Environmental Impact Assessment of large proposed mineral extraction area (Field 8, Finds 1001-1041).
6 undatable prehistoric flint flakes and 1 blade.
1 Roman pottery sherd.
6 medieval sherds and 1 copper alloy stud.
2 post-medieval pottery sherds, 1 CBM fragment, 1 coin, 1 brooch, 1 buckle and 3 copper alloy buttons.
1 undatable fired clay fragment, 1 copper alloy disc, 1 copper alloy lever, 1 pot rivet and 5 lead splashes.
