Map

Road on (S1).
E. Rose (NAU).

June 2004. Norfolk NMP.
NMP mapping has led to the alteration of the central grid reference of the site from TG 2227 3755 to TG 2259 3752.

The road described above is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs (S2-3), from TG 2281 3769 to TG 2233 3752. The eastern part of the road is visible as a negative cropmark, suggesting that it possessed a metalled surface. This might correspond with that part depicted on the 1838 Ordnance Survey map with solid (rather than dotted) lines (S1). To the west it is visible as the cropmark of a ditch. Other unmapped linear features visible on the CUCAP aerial photographs are post-medieval to modern field boundaries shown on later Ordnance Survey maps (S4) and probable agricultural cropmarks.
S. Tremlett (NMP), 26 July 2004.
