Summary

Metal-detecting between 2015 and 2020 recovered an Early Neolithic leaf-shaped flint arrowhead; Roman, Late Saxon, medieval and medieval/post-medieval pottery sherds; medieval/post-medieval brick and roof tile fragments; medieval and post-medieval coins; undated copper alloy casting waste and a range of other, Late Saxon to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include a Late Saxon Anglo-Scandinavian sword pommel; a medieval strap end and horse-harness pendant, medieval/post-medieval copper alloy vessel fragments and a post-medieval buckle, mount, copper alloy weight, copper alloy possible rivet and silver huntsman's whistle.
