Full Description
May 2015. Field visit.
Two buildings, labelled 'Reed Fen Lodge', are shown on (S1). These may well have been a warrener's lodge associated with Thetford Warren (NHER 54069).
No remains of these buildings was seen.
D. Robertson (HES), 16 July 2015.
January 2019. 'Brecks from Above' and Breckland National Mapping Programme.
A relatively low sub-rectangular mound is visible as an earthwork at the site of Reed Fen Lodge, on imagery from a lidar survey flown in 2015 (S2). The mapped extent of this site has been refined [1].
S. Tremlett (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 23 January 2019.
