Full Description
February 2014. Rapid Identification Survey. HA 89.
A large oval hollow, measuring about 32m by 38m by up to 3m deep. It has gentle slopes, with the most gentle slope in the westsouthwest. Its base is irregular. It is located with Lynford Park (NHER 30470).
The hollow was probably excavated as a quarry for sand and gravel. The gentle slope on the westsouthwest may have been an access point.
The hollow is not shown on (S1).
D. Robertson (HES), 24 July 2015.
