Summary

This is the site of an old brick kiln, marked on a map of 1836. It is believed that the kiln may remain intact on this site, although this has not been confirmed.

Old kiln.
Shown on 1st edition 1 inch Ordnance Survey map 1836 (S1) as brick kiln. The kiln is said to remain intact in the garden of Brickyard Farm (not Brick Kiln Farm which is opposite) but owing to absence of owner it could not be examined.
