Summary

Metal-detecting in 2015 and 2019 recovered a Roman coin; a post-medieval token and a range of other, Late Bronze Age to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include a Late Bronze Age copper alloy awl; a Middle/Late Iron Age bridle bit; a Roman bracelet fragment and lead steelyard weight; a Late Saxon stirrup-strap mount; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories (including a medieval silver brooch and post-medieval gold finger ring); medieval harness pendants, a padlock, book fitting and purse frame fragment; a medieval/post-medieval spur rowel and writing lead and post-medieval harness mounts, a knife end-cap, book clasp, thimble, spur leather attachment, purse fragment, furniture handle escutcheon, copper alloy weight and lead cloth seals.

Late Bronze Age copper alloy awl (S1).
Middle/Late Iron Age bridle bit.
1 Late Iron Age coin (Roman issue of Marcus Antonius).
Roman lead steelyard weight.
Late Saxon stirrup-strap mount.
Medieval buckles, harness pendants, a brooch, bar mount, padlock, book fitting and purse frame fragment.
Medieval/post-medieval spur rowel and writing lead.
Post-medieval buckles, hooked tags, buttons, finger rings, harness mounts, a strap fitting, furniture handle escutcheon, copper alloy weight and lead cloth seals.

Medieval buckles and silver annular brooch.
1 post-medieval token, buttons, sword-belt fittings, a dress hook, knife end-cap, harness mount, book clasp, thimble, spur leather attachment and gold mourning ring.

The medieval silver brooch and the post-medieval gold ring were both disclaimed as Treasure (Refs: 2016 T831 and 2016 T830 respectively) and returned to the finders.
