Summary

Monitoring of topsoil stripping at this site in 1998 revealed little of archaeological significance. The only feature of note was a wall of probable 19th-century date.

April 1998. Watching Brief.
Monitoring of groundworks associated with construction of new office building.
Little of archaeological interest. Observed remains included a north-to-south aligned wall of probable 19th-century in date (perhaps associated with the other, extant garden walls). Two pits of probable modern date were also identified, one of which contained the skeleton of a dog or small pit.
