Summary

At some time prior to 1980 a concentration of medieval pottery sherds was identified at this location. It has been suggested that these sherds may indicate the presence of a pottery kiln.

Concentration of medieval pottery sherds found in plough soil at [1].
Sample donated to Moyse's Hall Museum, Bury St Edmunds (1979-134). The museum's records describe these sherds as a "…concentration of Hinderclay type" and suggest that they may indicate the presence of a kiln site.
