NHER 61606 (Find Spot record) - Undated possible human remains

In 1990 it was reported that human skeletal remains had been disturbed in this area during construction work. Although this discovery was reported to the Norwich Castle Museum there is no evidence that the bones themselves were ever seen and as a result their identification as human must be treated with caution. It should though be noted that this site is relatively close to St James' church, raising the possibility that these remains, if indeed human, were associated with an earlier, Saxon cemetery.
