Map

Late 1970s. Stray Find.
Found at Harbour House when excavating for a new chimney:
Bellarmine witch bottle. Although broken, the bottom half was still in its original position and was found to contain "some decayed matter and some very rusty pins".
This discovery was reported in (S1) and a rubbing (S2) and a photograph (S3) were subsequently passed to the Norwich Castle Museum [1].

It is noted in (S1) that the house in which this discovery was made was "about 400 years old". Harbour House is not listed and its exact age is unclear at present. It is however clearly visible on the Weybourne Tithe map, indicating that it had been built prior to the late 19th century.
P. Watkins (HES), 21 September 2016.
