Summary

Metal-detecting between 2016 and 2023 recovered an Early Neolithic flint scraper; an Neolithic/Bronze Age flint core; Roman and medieval pottery sherds; Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins; medieval and post-medieval jettons; post-medieval tokens and a range of other, Late Iron Age/Roman to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include a Late Iron Age/Roman brooch; a Roman finger ring; a Late Saxon bell; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories (including a medieval/post-medieval silver button); a medieval coin weight, mount, binding strip or mount, harness mount, book clasp, lead ampulla and lead pot mend; a medieval/post-medieval purse frame, copper alloy vessel fragment and copper alloy and lead weights and post-medieval crotal bells, book clasp, sword-belt mounts, a spur, coin weight and harness mount.
